African Regional FootGolf Tournament set to kick off in Zambia in collaboration with FGSA
FGSA players head to Zambia for the African Regional FootGolf Tournament.

The African Regional FootGolf Tournament, set to take place from April 18–20 at the prestigious Chilanga Golf Club, marks a historic milestone for the sport of FootGolf on the African continent.
Hosted as a collaboration between Midrand-based FootGolf South Africa (FGSA), FootGolf Zambia, and the Zimbabwe FootGolf Association, under the guidance of the African FootGolf Association (AFGA), this tournament will be the first major competition for the new member countries of the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG).

Following the recent admittance of FootGolf Zambia, the Zimbabwe FootGolf Association, FootGolf Togo, and FootGolf Congo-Brazzaville as official member countries of the FIFG, this tournament will bring together some FootGolf athletes from across the African region.
The event will highlight the growing presence of FootGolf in Africa, underlining the AFGA’s commitment to promoting this sport across the continent.
The tournament promises a thrilling competition, with players from the participating countries battling it out for the coveted regional championship. FootGolf, a unique fusion of soccer and golf, has seen increasing popularity worldwide, and this regional event will serve as a stepping stone for African nations to gain recognition on the international stage.

AFGA chairperson Norman Mphake said this tournament is a pivotal moment for the growth of FootGolf in Africa.
“It marks the beginning of a new era for the sport on our continent, and we are excited to see the talent and enthusiasm from the new FIFG members. We are committed to ensuring that FootGolf thrives across Africa, and this tournament is just the beginning of many more exciting events to come,” said Mphake.
