March 28: Emma Margaron, Danna Peralta Rodriguez named Students of the Week

HOLLAND — Another week, another collection of excellent local students.
Each week, high school principals and staffers around Holland share their nominees for Students of the Week. We share those honorees online Fridays and in print Sundays.
This week’s students were nominated for leading athletic teams and student organizations and excelling in the classroom.
Emma Margaron, Holland High School
Emma Margaron is an outstanding senior and one of the finest student leaders at Holland High School. She's demonstrated exceptional leadership as captain of the girls' basketball team, an officer in the student senate, and captain of the women's soccer team.
Emma also serves as president of the National Honor Society and is an active member of the National Art Honor Society. Academically, she consistently challenges herself by taking rigorous AP and dual enrollment courses while maintaining an impressive 4.3 GPA. Her teachers and peers describe her as intelligent, ambitious, eloquent, hard-working, and humble. Emma sets a remarkable example for her classmates and represents Holland High School in the best possible way.
Danna Peralta Rodriguez, West Ottawa High School
Danna is an impressive student. Even though English is her second language, she is one of WOHS's top achievers. She is involved with Girls Who Code, and was recently accepted to the University of Michigan's College of Engineering. Plus, she has a great sense of humor!
