Coffman Engineers, Inc. has announced that Patrick Rider has earned his Professional Engineering (PE) license in electrical engineering, marking a significant career milestone.
Rider, who has contributed to major projects in Alaska’s oil and gas sector, energy storage and public infrastructure, brings a diverse background in both engineering and management. Before joining Coffman, he worked in the oil and gas service industry and later played a key role in Anchorage’s Covid-19 response, managing testing and vaccine operations.
With degrees in physics, electrical engineering and business leadership, Rider’s expertise continues to support Coffman’s work across multiple industries. “Patrick’s achievement reflects his technical proficiency and dedication,” said Nicholai Smith, Coffman’s electrical principal.
Rider obtained his Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in leadership from the University of Alaska Anchorage, his Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and his Bachelor of Arts in physics from Gustavus Adolphus College.
