Ascension Parish suspect arrested on child pornography, sexual abuse of animal charges, Louisiana AG reports

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced the arrest of a Sorrento suspect on 30 counts of pornography involving juveniles and one count of sexual abuse of an animal.

According to a new release, Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit arrested 20-year-old Jayden McConnell on April 16 after initially receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Per the release, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations assisted with the investigation.

The suspect was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and the investigation was ongoing, according to the release.
